Rules of the Road:  The two most important things to remember are to KEEP to the RIGHT HAND SIDE (the starboard side) of the channel, and watch your speed – the limit is normally 8 kph (5 knots in nautical terms) in the canals, and 10 kph (6 knots) in rivers.
